Once school got out and Jackson graduated from 8th grade we quickly packed up the RV to leave for our first summer sleep away experience for both kids in Brevard North Carolina. Mom and Dad were also going to enjoy a few weeks off at "adult summer camp" at Mountain Falls working remotely and enjoying the cooler North Carolina summer air.
Those three weeks went by way faster than any of us expected and before we knew it the band was all back together again and it was time for our adventures in the Midwest! We high tailed it from North Carolina to Sandusky Ohio where we met up with our good and dear friends the McManus family! We caught up together on I-75 headed due north for the Cedar Point campground and "America's RollerCoast". This was the start of a really epic summer road trip and RV trip to many favorite desinations including: Cedar Point, all of the Great Lakes of Michigan, Toledo and Perrysburg, Round Lake Michigan with family for the 4th of July and then on to northern Michigan where we met up with grandma and grandpa at Mackinac Island for a few days at The Grand Hotel. From there it was on to the UP and Muinising Michigan and Pictured Rock National Lake Shore....a bucket list place I've always wanted to see! From there we went back down to Toledo for a quick overnight stop and buzzed through Frankenmouth for a great German chicken dinner and spent one night at a campground in Frankenmouth Michigan! SO COOL! After one more night in Toledo, it was on to Niagra Falls and from there on to the Adirondacks and the Knurrs Quiet Moose Meadow amazing lake home! We had so many adventures on our summer 2022 RV trip and made true memories to last a lifetime!
