May around our house

With Easter behind us and our seasonal visitors heading home you would think things would have quieted down but May seconds only the month of December as far as life and work being crazy busy these days!!  May for us brings warmer temperatures, a flurry of work activity (truly one of the busiest work months of the year) as people that have been here all season tend to save their items they need legal help with until right before they leave for up north for the summer) and May also brings us the last month of school and that last 4th quarter push, coupled with Jackson's birthday, our anniversary and the last day of school and right behind that is Sarabeth's bday and summer vacation season!!

This May was no different and we saw the world really start to open up and many people (including us) got vaccinated and life as we know it resumed to more of a normal mode with masks going away, travel plans picking up (we even went to Fort Wilderness with the RV for a camping weekend at Disney and things like dining out, family and friends gatherings, birthday parties and summer camps being planned resumed again.

With so much going on in life Jon and I were lucky to spend a weekend away to recharge as adults at the Breakers in Palm Beach for our 16th anniversary, we hosted a 13th birthday party for our newest teenager Jackson, a sleepover and trip to Big Shots for some golfing fun with friends, and we also hosted a spa party for Sarabeth and her school friends one Saturday afternoon to do an early school friends bday celebrations before everyone scatters for the summer.  We made it to the lake for memorial day weekend and right behind that came the last days of 4th and 7th grade.  In a quick minute we will have an 8TH GRADER and a 5TH GRADER!!!

This sure is a busy season of life and we are making the most of it with lots of time for RV trips, camping, the lake, the moorings, time with Buckeye and Beau our beloved yellow dogs fishing, tennis, down time at home on our computer where we like to build Roblox homes (both kids) and also time to play video games online with school friends (Jackson) and time to organize and decorate our own space (Sarabeth).    At 13 and 10 both kids are on the upper end of the growth chart for their ages, with Sarabeth still coming in very tall, and Jackson more average height but right on the verge of a big growth spurt. We had healthy physicals, we got Jackson the covid shot, and we are looking forward to the BIG year ahead with big decisions for high school and beyond.

Here are some pictures of May in our household as we celebrated the end of school, our anniversary, and turning (almost) 10 and 13!!
