Here are some lazy Sunday morning photos, you can see Sarabeth is really on the move, wanting to do whatever her brother does and also a sweet little baby that lays with her silky and her paci when she is tired........and you can see that Jackson is in a phase where he now dresses himself...the second he gets up for the day...and he wears about 5 different outfits throughout the day...the Buckeyes jersey and army man pants are what he woke us up in this morning and boy was he proud of his outfit. He is a budding artist doing lots of chalk art out on the porch...the picture he is standing with is a family portrait and he asked me to take his picture with his drawing. Lastly, we are packing and the house is a wreck...although we saved the boxes from our last move so popped them back together in a snap and it is amazing how much I've already packed.
As of tonight, everything is really clicking in, our landlord officiallylet us know they have agreed to lets us out of our lease here effective May 31st (the lease was supposed to run through the end of August), our tenants in the Sebastian house let us know they are renewing the lease for a THIRD year............and they are great tenants and we really did not need the stress of trying to find a new tenant come June right after we've moved and all of the extra hustle and bustle that would come with prepping the house for a new tenant and finally, the landlord where we are at also agreed to sell us some furniture from the house we are in for a great price so all around, while there have been a lot of moving parts to all of this, it is all really falling into place.

and the big news is.....
Its official, we are set to close on a new house in a neighborhood just a few minutes down the beach from where we live now! It has been a REALLY long 5 week process from the point that our offer was accepted and the house went under contract to today when we have satisfied all of the conditions of the loan. This is a great move for our family, we will be in a gated neighborhood near the beach, near my office, and with lots of young families and small kids. Pictures coming soon, this will be the third yellow house we've lived in! The house was completely remodeled on the inside in 2006 so all the work is done and it is move in ready, marble floors throughout, a real wood burning fire place (rare in Florida), a nice big kitchen with granite and dark wood cabinets, three big bedrooms and three full baths (this is a major bonus and hard to find too down here) and a big oversize reverse side load garage with a good sized yard, pool, spa, fenced yard and circular front drive so lots of place to play in the actual driveway and the house sits way back from the road, safe for the kids and dogs and good privacy.
We are set to close May 16th and move May 25th and 26th. Between the 16th and the 25th rooms will be painted, and a few other minor repairs will be made to make the house all set for us to move in. We are in full packing mode here, I hate moving but this house is worth it and hopefully we will stay put now for a while. This house will be a good spot for us for a long while we hope. We still own our other house in Sebastian and that will just be a rental for a long time until the market changes and we can sell it for what we owe...bottom line, my crazy plan worked, we've had to be very patient and take a big risk in renting out our house (thank goodness we have had great tenants the entire time and the same tenant the entire time) and our patience and risk paid off...we get to live in a location we want to be in and were able to buy low and take advantage of this crazy market. It is crazy that our house on the barrier island cost us about 10k less than the Sebastian house in 2006. Good things come to those who wait!!
In other news, we are also in transition in that we pulled Sarabeth out of daycare and have a nanny starting at the house with her on Monday morning. Our nanny is someone we've known from the pre-school for 4 years now, she wanted to transition to a nanny position and we were looking so the timing was perfect. Jackson will stay enrolled in school full time for now but come June, he is going to get to go to a variety of 1/2 day summer camps around town. A few of his friends will be doing this too, he gets to go to art camp at the museum, a karate camp, water mania camp, Florida phonics camp and a few others that I can't recall off the top of my head but I wish I could go! I could never put him in these before because he was either too small or I had the issue of needing him to have child care all day and the camps only run like 9-1 so Ann will be able to pick him up when camp is out and bring him home for his nap. We also recently joined the Moorings Club which is right across the street from the house we live in now and will be about a 5 minute drive from our new house so we're in for a fun summer...if I can get some time off and away from work, it has been BUSY. But, that's not a bad problem to have. We are so thankful my business has taken off as well as it has and that the work continues to come in and the phone continues to ring!
Happy weekend all, pictures soon, or email or text me and I can send you a link to the house...just don't want to post my address on the internet for all to see!!

weekend in review
It has been a pretty quiet weekend around here (for once) and we are thankful. These past few months have been REALLY busy and it is not slowing down until at least June but at lease we had a few quiet days this weekend to relax and re group. Jack had his first t-ball game this weekend and this morning we all got up healthy and rested (for the most part) so we went to church. We were all looking pretty good so we snapped a few quick pictures before heading out the door this morning. We are up so early in our house (everyone is always up before 7am) that we go to the 8:45 am mass...makes beating the Sunday am brunch rush NOT a problem after church. We had been to mass, brunch AND Sam's and home by 11:30am!!!
Here are some pictures from yesterday's game, bath time recently and of us this morning.

heard from the backseat
Yesterday while driving home after the day care pick up, Jackson blurted out "one day, sissy will grow big and turn into a real girl, and I will have a real girl to play with...and she will walk with me, and she will talk with me and she will play with me in my room". It was such a sweet, honest expression of his love for his sister...a love that is not tarnished with senseless sibling rivarly or other common sibling issues. I hope he always views her as his buddy and loves her as much as he does now. As for sissy, she is doing much better, she lights up when Jack comes into the room and if he is outside playing and she is inside with me, she will go to the glass sliging doors and pound her little hands to get his attention and often through her passy say "ack" "ack". So sweet. She is on the re-bound as well. She stayed home from school Monday as well, turns out the poor baby developed a double ear infection over the weekend (ouch) and also roseola from her fever for days on end. Yes, we took her to the doctor multiple times during this ordeal, one thing led to another, a cold that just went bad, real bad, is what they said. She is perking back up now though and after her feeling so lousy for days on end, I almost forgot what it was like to have a happy baby that plays, laughs, crawls and SLEEPS.

stranger danger
Did anyone besides me see the dateline special tonight about stranger danger and the set up of luring kids of all ages into an ice cream truck??!! I've thought on and off about this and the need to teach Jackson about Stranger Danger but never thought he was really old enough...until tonight. I grabbed him and had him sit with me tonight and watch the end segment while Natalie Moralis' son and two other little boys only a few years older than Jack took their turn to be lured into the truck. IT WAS SO SCARY to watch. It was a teachable moment though and taught me that we have to do more than just talk to him about strangers and stranger danger, we have to give him examples and role play, etc. Every kid on that show got into the ice cream truck with the "stranger" while their parents watched on horrified form behind a hidden camera, and most kids tooks the "free" ice cream too. Most of them knew something was a miss and were visiblly nervous, but eventually gave in!! Jackson watched with me and said "those boys made a bad choice" and I just used the example to try to drill into his little mind over and over again that if a stranger approaches, he is not to go anywhere with them, eat or drink anything from them, or take something from them, he has to tell them he can't talk to them and he is to find a teacher, mommy, or daddy immediately. SO SCARY. If you did not catch this segment, look it up online, it is worth the watch, and worth sitting your kids down with you to watch, even just for one or two segments.

sissy down
We have a sissy down at our house, poor Sarabeth "sissy" as Jack calls her came down with some sort of a wicked virus the end of this week. Wednesday night I noticed she was running a low grade fever and just not feeling well. Thursday while she was at school things went from bad to worse and I got the call that she was running a temperature over 100 and Thursday night we kept her comfortable but we had a sick little girl with a higher temp than made me comfortable. I gave her cool baths and kept her as comfortable as possible. She ended up sleeping most of the night with us (pray we don't get whatever this is) and luckily Jon was able to juggle his schedule (mine was chock full and unjugglable) and he stayed home with the poor baby today. She is still running a temp tonight, only other symtpoms is a runny nose. She has the top two teeth coming through the gums right now so who knows. This is more than teething though with a temperature like she is running and she just looked sick and pathetic through her eyes. Hopefully no one else gets this bug, WAY too much is going on down here right now for sickness to strike!!
Happy weekend all, TGIF.

Easter 2012
For Easter 2012 we spent the holiday down on Hollywood, Florida's beach with our good friends, the Sherman Family. We had a great time, enjoyed great weather, great food, and great friends. The Shermans have a Florida home there that has been in their family for many many years now and for the past three years we've been invited to spend Easter with them and their extended family. We get a hotel room right across the way from their place and we are all steps from the beach and boardwalk with lots of space to bike ride, walk, people watch, and close to shops and restaurants too. Their place is about 30 minutes north of Miami's South beach so extreme south Florida and quite the contrast from where we live! Even though we live in Florida, going to Hollywood beach always feels like a "vacation", there is even a Wings beach junk shop there, a tradition now that we must stop and get some beach junk there at least once a year!!
We had a wonderful time and since I am short on time as I get the laundry through from last week Thursday-today (A LOT of loads) and also I am trying to get everyone's gear packed for the week at school, t-ball team photos tomorrow night etc., I'm short on time so I will let the pictures tell the story, thank you to the Sherman family for making us feel like part of your family and for spoiling us all rotten these past few days, safe travels to all back to Ohio:)

"ack" and ten months
Today Sarabeht is 10 months...photos coming soon....she has two teeth through on the bottom that came somewhere in the end of the 8th month/beginning of the 9th and she is currently cutting the top two teeth (read, she and I are barely sleeping these days)!! The one top tooth is through the gums and coming down, the other one is right there. Besides acquiring teeth, the big news is that over the past week we repeatedly heard her saying "ack", "ack" whenever Jack was around, or if she had something of his and sure enough, I watched closely this weekend and she is definitely saying his name, so cute. I did not think she would do this so soon! She ADORES her brother, follows him EVERYWHERE and just wants to be with him, whatever he is doing. One of her favorite places to escape to is his room (land of choking hazards and small parts, ugh)!! We have been going through his bins of things trying to eliminate small parts or broken pieces of cars, etc. For the most part he loves her too and tolerates a baby following him everywhere pretty well. Occasionally he gets annoyed if he is trying to set up his race cars or a puzzle or something and she comes along and wants to play and messes it all up. He is very protective of her and always wants to make sure she is included in whatever we are all doing.
Last week we took 9 month photos, LOTS of proofs are posted, some are better than others, she was a little tired but did pretty well. http://www.collages.net/, sarabeth Peshke, code is 21893
We had a good but busy weekend filled with a double birthday party for two school friends, a t-ball game, and a playdate with a friend and his family on Sunday at our house. This week we are preparing for a few days off and Easter fun down south with the Shermans. It is going to be a short but busy week with the holiday coming!
Have a great week everyone!
