Shopping Expedition to Babies R Us
This weekend Jon and I finally had some time to get up to Orlando and go to Babies R Us to use the last of our gift cards and get some major purchases made. We also got to see Scott, Tessa, and Ashton for Ashton's first birthday party which was nice:) He is already on the move walking, running, and not even quite a year yet (his real birthday is April 7th)!
Enjoy some pictures of our table last weekend for Easter, and our purchases at Babies R Us.......we did great with coupons so we saved about $150.00! We got our infant travel system and stroller, extra base for the car seat in the second car, car seat protector for my car, glider, breast pump and all accessories, avent bottle sterilizer, and some other smaller items we have been advised to get including infant tylenol and the all important gas drops! We had a good time and now we are just about all set for the arrival of baby Jackson. We are going to work in our yard today, it is starting to get hot here, feels like the middle of June in Ohio.

Busy couple of weeks
Phew, it has been a busy couple of weeks in our household. We have been to and from Ohio for two wonderful and generous baby showers where we received lots of love, support and much needed baby supplies to help us welcome Jackson, we have had Aunt Megan visiting us here in Florida for a week, and we welcomed cousin Justin Peshke into our home over Easter weekend and hosted Easter Brunch with the Florida Peshke's including snow bird Grandma Peshke! Life is slowly getting back to pre-baby normal in our household after the passing of the holiday and the guests have all returned back home. Jon and I have been busy working at our jobs (this is the busiest time of the year for my firm due to all of the seasonal residents being in town) and using the generous gift cards we have received to get the last of the baby supplies we need. We went to target last night and bought a monitor, shopping cart cover, and all kinds of baby wipes, washes, lotions, and creams that we will need to care for Jackson. This weekend we have a trip to Orlando planned to celebrate second cousin Ashton Peshke's first birthday and we will also incorporate a trip to the Orlando Babies R Us to pick up the last of the big items we need there including the travel system, breast pump, and rocking chair and ottoman. Hope everyone is having a good week.......time is just flying by these days, but we are happy to report the pregnancy is going according to plan exactly. No complications thus far, we even passed a tough 4 hour gestational diabetes test with flying colors. We are looking forward to the next few weeks when the doctor will be able to tell us what position the baby is in, and begin to estimate a birth wait. Here are some pictures from the Ohio showers.

Jenny's birthday weekend
Today is my 28th birthday, the picture attached here is my last picture taken as a 27 year old before a girls night out to celebrate my b-day with some of my Vero Beach friends. I wanted Jackson to be able to see that his mom tried to get out and do things and be stylish, even at 7 months pregnant! I was the DD on my own birthday, kind of funny but it made practical sense to me due to my current situation so I did not mind volunteering. We had a nice dinner at a local Vero restaurant and then it was home to bed for me. My friends and I decided not to do birthday gifts this year, we are all going to save our money for a girls spa day in the end of April in West Palm Beach. One of my other friend's is also pregnant so we will likely be getting the prenatal massages. Should be fun! Today Jon made me a special birthday breakfast of french toast and bananas, my favorite. We got most of our household chores done yesterday so we are going to a beach club with our friends Clint and Shannon for lunch and beach or pool for the afternoon. It is in the high 70's today with a light wind but lots of sun so as long as we're in the sun, it won't be too chilly.
This past week we made some more progress on the nursery. We ordered some cute white shelves to hang and disply photos, and small baby items like Jon's JCP silver cup. They came out really nice, I will post a picture of that later in the week. I also got all the bedding on the crib including the matching crib skirt and sheets! It looks great, the nursery is almost finished. We just need to get the rocker and then we will be all ready. I unpacked all of the disposable diapers from Aunt Julia and cousin Elisabeth and packed them nicely into the bins on the changing table so we are ready to go with that too...now all we need is the baby, in due time!! I am looking forward to seeing everyone in two weeks in Ohio for the showers.
